Tetsuro Takumi

Mr. Tetsuro Takumi is a California licensed acupuncturist and a licensed orthopedic bone setter in Japan practicing at South Bay Total Health in Torrance, CA.

Tetsuro holds a Master of Science in acupuncture and oriental medicine from South Baylo University in Anaheim, CA.  He also holds a diploma of Orthopedic Bonesetter from the Osaka College of High Technology in Osaka, Japan.

Mr. Takumi practices a unique strategy and technique in his approach to the physical body.  He has extensive western medical training from his studies in Japan, while his Traditional Chinese Medical training in the United States has allowed him to expand his perception of the body and health into a beautiful and artistic approach to healing.  With each needle placement, Tetsuro uses an artistic level of precision focusing on the depth, angle and location that elevates his acupuncture treatments to a true healing art.

In his approach to musculoskeletal disorders and physical pain, Tetsuro combines his extensive knowledge of orthopedic medicine with his distinct style of needling to create an original technique that he calls Isometric Acupuncture.  With the application of Isometric Acupuncture, Mr. Takumi rebalances the body to alleviate contraction and restore the body into postural alignment.  Tetsuro believes that when posture has been corrected and the body has been brought into balance, the patient will be pain free.
