
Dr. Arlan Cage
Dr. Arlan Cage, ND, LAc graduated from Whitman College in 1983 with a bachelors degree in Physics and Astronomy, and from Florida Institute of Technology in 1985 with a Masters degree in Space Technology. He worked for 16 years in the aerospace industry supporting a variety of rocket and satellite programs including the Space Shuttle, specializing in rocket propulsion systems and attitude control & guidance systems of un-manned satellites.
In time, a growing interest in natural health prompted him to pursue a career in alternative medicine. In 2002 he earned his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ. Southwest College is one of only 5, accredited, Naturopathic Medical schools in the United States whose graduates are eligible for licensure in those states which regulate Naturopathic medicine. While at Southwest College, Dr. Cage lead a team which conducted the first homeopathic proving of the plant Larrea tridentata, or Chaparral. This research was published in the Spring 2004 issue of Simillimum, the Journal of the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians.
He opened the first Naturopathic clinic in the South Bay region of Los Angeles county in 2003, and also continued his exploration of alternative healing systems through the study of Oriental Medicine at the prestigious Samra University of Oriental Medicine in Los Angeles, the oldest college of Oriental Medicine in the U.S., graduating in 2005.
Dr. Cage has post-doctoral certifications in the treatment of Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome, and Esoteric Acupuncture. He is a professional member of the American Holistic Health Association, the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation, as well as the California Naturopathic Doctors Association.
When he isn’t helping his patients, Dr. Cage’s hobbies and interests include the martial arts, high-altitude mountaineering, and organic gardening. . He is the formulator of his own line of herbal and nutritional supplements, Dr. Cage’s Herbal Remedies.
